Leeds confirm Jean-Matteo Bahoya loan after 11pm deadline, with option and fees outlined | OneFootball

Leeds United have signed winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya from Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan, with an option to buy. The 21-year-old French youth international becomes their seventh summer addition.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds will pay an initial loan fee of two million euros, with a twenty-three million option and a further five million in add-ons.

Leeds spent much of the summer chasing a left winger, with moves for Julian Brandt and Mykhailo Mudryk falling short. A late-window push for Bahoya has now been completed.

Bahoya made 37 appearances for Frankfurt last season, eight in the UEFA Champions League, and can operate across the front line. He has five France Under-21 caps with two goals, and recorded a Bundesliga-best sprint of 37.16 km/h.

Growing confidence that the deal would be finalised allowed the club to approve Willy Gnonto’s loan to Fiorentina, which could be worth up to eighteen million pounds if the option is triggered and add-ons are paid.

Earlier in the evening, Leeds also secured left-back Melvin Bard on loan from OGC Nice, for a loan fee of one million euros and with a five million option to make the move permanent.
