Leeds United face significant contract calls as several players reach the final months of deals that run to summer 2026.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the club also hope to add further new faces in the final 10 days of the January window. So far, the only incoming is a loan for Brighton and Hove Albion attacker Facundo Buonanotte, who hopes to debut at Premier League rivals Everton on Monday. Jack Harrison has left on loan to Fiorentina for the rest of the season, a move that could become permanent in the summer.

As things stand, Karl Darlow, Alex Cairns, Sam Byram and Illan Meslier are in the last stretch of contracts that expire in summer 2026. Buonanotte’s loan is due to run until then as well.

On current terms, that group would leave at the end of the season unless situations change.

These cases underline the workload for the Elland Road hierarchy in the weeks ahead. Attention now turns to how those contract pictures evolve before the summer.
