West Ham United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Wrexham should be keeping tabs on Leeds United forward Wilfried Gnonto this summer
Leeds United must make a decision on the future of Italian forward Wilfried Gnonto before the end of the summer window, with the Whites blessed with an abundance of attacking options heading into the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.
Leeds comfortably survived in the Premier League last season after a few tricky moments, with former Norwich City boss Daniel Farke finally cementing a team in the top flight on the third time of asking.
The South Yorkshire outfit have completed the addition of Harry Wilson on a free transfer this summer following the expiry of his deal at Fulham, with the Welshman providing another option in attack to the likes of Noah Okafor, Lukas Nmecha, Daniel James, Brenden Aaronson, Anton Stach, and Gnonto.
The Italian, who joined Leeds for a mere £3.75 million from Swiss side FC Zurich in the summer of 2022, has scored 23 and assisted 17 in 147 games across all competitions for the Whites, but was limited to less than 500 minutes of league football last season.
With Wilson's arrival, those minutes will surely only decrease, as FLW has taken a look at three Championship clubs that should consider a move for the 22-year-old this summer.

West Ham United’s first game back in the Championship after over 14 years ended in a 2-2 draw at Turf Moor to Burnley, with Nuno Espírito Santo’s side squandering a 2-0 lead courtesy of two late goals from Zian Flemming.
Among the Hammers goalscorers was Manor Solomon, who scored the second on his debut following his £7 million move from Tottenham Hotspur earlier on in the window, replacing the outgoing Crysencio Summerville.
Solomon previously shone in the second tier with Leeds, grabbing 22 direct goal contributions in 39 games for the Whites, with West Ham closing in on the addition of his former teammate Joel Piroe, who finished that year as the Championship outright top goalscorer.
Now, with Piroe and Solomon reunited, Nuno should look to add the final piece of the puzzle to his Hammers attack in the form of Gnonto, and continue this Leeds connection with the addition of the Italian.
Capable of playing anywhere across the final third, Gnonto would provide a versatile option to the Portuguese head coach’s attack, and still only 22 with ample Championship experience, Gnonto would be an incredible option for West Ham, who can certainly afford to sign him, and must consider a swoop.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have had a quiet summer window thus far, having completed deals for just three players, namely Kieran Trippier, Raul Jimenez, and Rafiki Said.
The Old Gold have begun their first Championship campaign in eight years with a 2-2 draw at home to Blackburn Rovers, with Jimenez’s late penalty rescuing a point for the Black Country outfit.
Interest in Brighton and Hove Albion winger Amario Cozier-Duberry has emerged over recent days, with head coach Cesar Peixoto looking to add another option to the final third, but he should instead be considering a move for Gnonto.
The Italian has an abundance of energy, and with Wolves seemingly moving back to a 4-2-3-1 shape, Gnonto can play anywhere across that attacking third, and provide excellent competition in numerous positions.
Wolves have a lack of Championship experience in their ranks, something Gnonto would be able to rectify, and with the knowledge of how to get a team to the Premier League, he can add a calm head to the dressing room despite his age.

Wrexham remain one of the most ambitious teams in the English Football League, having invested heavily in their squad over the past few years, and that hasn’t changed this summer.
The Welsh outfit have completed deals for the likes of Danny Imray, Ben Whiteman, and Anthony Patterson, with around £15 million spent on those three alone, whilst a move in excess of £10 million for Norwegian centre-back Henrik Falchener is on the cards.
Phil Parkinson’s side can boast the likes of Nathan Broadhead, Bailey Cadamarteri, Davis Keillor-Dunn, and Josh Windass as options in behind the main centre-forward, but with neither Keillor-Dunn nor Cadamarteri seemingly that fancied by Parkinson, another option in that area wouldn’t go amiss.
Gnonto would be a statement addition for the Welsh outfit, and whilst it would likely take a lot of convincing to get him on board, the pull of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney cannot be underestimated.
The 22-year-has lit up the English second tier before, though has never necessarily been the main man, something that would surely change at Wrexham
