West Ham confirmed his arrival on Wednesday morning. The 27-year-old joins on loan for the 2026/27 season, with an obligation to make the move permanent if the Hammers secure promotion at the first attempt.

The Suriname international scored 33 goals in 91 Championship appearances across two years with Leeds, winning the Golden Boot in the 2024/25 title-winning season. After promotion he slipped to the fringes and did not score a Premier League goal.

West Ham are the early favourites for promotion, although they failed to win their opener last weekend. They led fellow relegated side Burnley 2-0 but conceded twice late on to draw 2-2.
