Leeds rallied despite the late hour, with England supporters preparing for the World Cup last-16 meeting with Mexico after severe weather pushed kick-off back to 2am UK time.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, fans gathered at the Beck and Call pub on Sunday evening to get set for the rescheduled start.

The match had been slated for 6pm local time, 1am in the UK, but the stadium implemented its thunderstorm protocol less than an hour beforehand amid lightning concerns, so play will now begin at 7pm, 2am UK.

Bukayo Saka, Anthony Gordon and Jarell Quansah returned as Thomas Tuchel made three changes for England at the Estadio Azteca.

Saka replaces Arsenal team-mate Noni Madueke on the right, while Gordon, who supplied two assists against the Democratic Republic of Congo on Wednesday, comes in for Marcus Rashford on the left.

Quansah is back at right-back after an ankle injury against Panama in the final group match, with Djed Spence out as he nurses a muscle problem.
