Leeds United cruised to a 4-0 win over Augsburg in their final pre-season friendly, a timely lift before next weekend's season opener.

Leeds Live reports that the performance will encourage Daniel Farke and supporters ahead of next weekend's opener. Anton Stach thumped Leeds in front inside 50 seconds, Tarik Muharemovic added an overhead finish on 19 minutes, and James Justin made it three on 29 after a one-two with Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Leeds eased off after the break and switched to a back four midway through. Control remained though the threat dipped, before Lukas Nmecha deftly chipped in from Ao Tanaka's through ball.

Six players were marked eight: James Trafford, Joe Rodon, Tarik Muharemovic, Ethan Ampadu, Anton Stach and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Jayden Bogle, Jaka Bijol, James Justin, Harry Wilson and Brenden Aaronson received seven.

From the bench, Sean Longstaff, Noah Okafor and Lukas Nmecha were marked six, Ao Tanaka earned seven, Daniel James four and Joel Piroe three. Farke was scored eight for a slick first half and a controlled finish.
