Leeds United ended the January window with a single addition, Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, as PSR limits tightened. Rivals strengthened, stoking relegation concern among some supporters.

According to Leeds Live, the move cost nothing and still represents a net gain in quality, yet their relegation rivals combined to spend £137.8m.

Crystal Palace accounted for £83m and sit three points ahead of Leeds. Their spending featured Jorgen Strand Larsen for £48m, plus Brennan Johnson for £35m and Evann Guessand on loan.

West Ham, 18th, were the busiest with five arrivals, including deadline-day loanee Axel Disasi from Chelsea. Pablo Felipe and Taty Castellanos arrived for £20m and £25.2m.

Nottingham Forest moved late too, signing left-back Luca Netz from Borussia Mönchengladbach for £1.1m and goalkeeper Stefan Ortega for £500,000. Lorenzo Lucca also joined on loan.

Wolves added Adam Armstrong for an undisclosed fee and took Angel Gomes on loan. Burnley brought in James Ward-Prowse on loan from West Ham. Leeds now rely on existing options for the run-in, without adding a back-up striker or another goalkeeper.
