Leeds United have loaned 17-year-old Harry Gray to Sheffield Wednesday for the 2026/27 season. The club said in a statement that the striker has joined the League One side and that they will track his development very closely.

Early last season academy football no longer stretched him, as he scored 11 in 14 for Scott Gardner’s Under-21s, including EFL Trophy goals, then sought a men’s loan. Leeds arranged a January move to Rotherham United.

The Millers were fighting relegation, yet Gray gained regular minutes against seasoned opponents. He featured up front and on the flanks, making 20 appearances and scoring three times.

Gray has now linked up with Wednesday for pre-season. The Owls have begun a new ownership era and have former Leeds captain Liam Cooper on board for the campaign. They are expected to be among the promotion contenders.

He made his Leeds first-team debut at 16 against Stoke City in 2024/25 on the day promotion to the top flight was sealed. Gray has also been capped by England at Under-17 level.
