Leeds United host Norwich City in the FA Cup fifth round at Elland Road on Sunday at 4.30pm, with injuries and doubts across both squads totalling 15, though two players have returned.
The tie interrupts Leeds’ Premier League survival push after a bruising week, a 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday then a 1-0 loss to Sunderland on Tuesday. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the fitness picture is mixed.
Norwich, led by Philippe Clement, sit 17th in the Championship, 11 points above the drop and 12 off the play-offs. They have won 10 of their last 15 league games.
For Leeds, Joe Rodon had hamstring trouble against Manchester City and was withdrawn with three minutes left, but he started against Sunderland and finished the match. James Justin, who needed stitches after a leg blow against City, also started on Tuesday and played 74 minutes.
Norwich’s list of absentees includes Mohamed Toure, the striker facing four to six weeks out after a groin injury in the 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday late last month.
Oscar Schwartau sustained a hamstring issue in last month’s fourth-round win against West Brom and is set for a number of weeks out. Matej Jurasek remains around six to seven weeks away with a foot injury, while Jovon Makama is expected to miss most of the run-in, also with a foot problem.
