Leeds United have asked supporters to remain in their seats after today’s meeting with high-flying Brighton, with a post-game lap of appreciation planned.
The club said in a statement that fans should stay seated at full-time as the first-team squad and staff thank them with a lap around the pitch.
United’s Premier League status was already secured by Arsenal’s 1-0 win at West Ham last Sunday, confirming survival with three games to spare.
Six days after a 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur on Monday, today also brings the season’s final outing at Elland Road.
After the whistle, players will briefly return to the dressing room before being introduced one by one back onto the pitch, joined by their families, mirroring last season’s celebrations after the Bristol City match.
