Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe has withdrawn from consideration for the MLS commissioner role, according to Sportico.

He had been one of three candidates under discussion for the commissioner position.

The other contenders named were LA Galaxy owner Larry Berg and long-time media executive David Nathanson.

With Marathe stepping aside, the field has narrowed to Berg and Nathanson.
