Leeds United confirm Isaac Schmidt joins Young Boys, around £2m fee

Leeds United have confirmed full-back Isaac Schmidt has joined BSC Young Boys on a permanent deal, for an undisclosed fee.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds are set to receive around £2m.

Schmidt, 26, made 14 appearances in the Championship title-winning season but managed only two starts under Daniel Farke.

He spent 2025/26 on loan at Werder Bremen, featuring 19 times for the Bundesliga side.

Leeds have thanked Schmidt for his contribution and wished him well for the future.

Centre-back Tarik Muharemovic is flying into the region today to complete a medical and sign for Leeds.

The Whites agreed a £34m fee with Sassuolo earlier this week and are finalising their second summer arrival.

Muharemovic will replace Pascal Struijk, who joined Brighton earlier this summer for £20m.
