Leeds United face a summer of contract calls, with several deals expiring and others running to 2027 and beyond.
A 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday left Daniel Farke’s side with only two defeats in their last 14 Premier League matches. They have taken 20 points in that spell, after 11 from their first 13 games, and sit six points above 18th-placed West Ham with 11 to play. According to Transfermarkt, five players are currently due to leave for free if nothing changes.
Among the four permanent squad members, Karl Darlow is the most pressing case after 13 appearances in all competitions, including 11 in the league. Leeds are expected to pursue a new goalkeeper this summer, so Darlow’s role is uncertain.
Alex Cairns and Illan Meslier have not featured for the senior side this season and could depart on frees, while full-back Sam Byram has just one Premier League appearance. Facundo Buonanotte is on loan from Brighton and there is no option or obligation to buy.
Contracts running to the summer of 2027 cover Lukas Nmecha, Joël Piroe, Ilia Gruev, Ethan Ampadu, Brenden Aaronson and Pascal Struijk.
Deals to 2028 include Joe Rodon, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jayden Bogle, Ao Tanaka, Wilfried Gnonto and Charlie Crew.
Tied to 2029 are Daniel James, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Anton Stach, Sean Longstaff, Noah Okafor, Lucas Perri, Gabriel Gudmundsson and James Justin. Jaka Bijol is contracted to 2030.
