Footmercato reports that Leeds United have strong interest in Auxerre forward Lassine Sinayoko as they seek to bolster Daniel Farke’s attacking options.
The report says Brighton are also among European suitors and labels the Mali international a complete striker. With one year left on his deal, it states the time has definitely come for him to leave. It adds that Premier League and Bundesliga sides are interested, and English clubs are in regular contact with the 26-year-old’s representatives.
He led Auxerre’s fight for Ligue 1 safety last season, scoring 12 goals and providing four assists, including six in the final eight matches.
That lifted his club tally to 31 in 175 appearances across nine years since coming through their system, and he has 31 caps for Mali.
Primarily a centre forward, Sinayoko also featured 15 times on the wing last term, mostly on the right.
Leeds want competition or a complement for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with Lukas Nmecha an option through the middle and Noah Okafor more effective from wide areas. Fringe forwards Willy Gnonto and Joel Piroe could well move on this summer.
