Leeds United are in talks to sign AJ Auxerre striker Lassine Sinayoko this summer, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.

They are in discussions with Sinayoko and his agent, but face competition from Brighton & Hove Albion and clubs in France and Germany.

The 26-year-old ‘complete striker’ bagged 12 league goals and four assists last term to help keep Auxerre up.

The Leeds target was in the top 10 of the most decisive players in Ligue 1, and a move to the Premier League could appeal to him.

Sinayoko can play across the front line, and his defensive contributions would be useful for Leeds.

He was involved in 13 league goals in 2024-25, scoring five times and assisting eight goals in 34 league games.

Sinayoko has 11 goals in 31 caps for Mali and could be perfect for the Whites as they look to establish themselves as mainstays in the Premier League.

Leeds need their forwards to track back and help out defensively constantly, and the Auxerre star is perfect for their style of play.
