Leeds United made joint favourites for Troy Parrott as odds shorten | OneFootball

Leeds United have been made joint favourites to sign Troy Parrott in January, with odds shortening on a move.

According to VoetbalNieuws, discussions have already taken place over a potential switch, after Leeds tracked the AZ Alkmaar striker for about a year.

No offers arrived in the summer despite heavy links, but Parrott has impressed for club and country, scoring goals that helped the Republic of Ireland into a World Cup play-off.

The 23-year-old signed a contract in summer 2024 and still has three and a half years remaining. Any move would likely demand a record AZ sale, around £25m, a sizeable outlay in January given Leeds' PSR position.

Current prices make Leeds 6/1 for Parrott, the same as West Ham, with Everton 8/1 and Wolves 14/1.

Fulham are 16/1, as are clubs in Italy, Germany, France and Türkiye, while Liverpool and Manchester United are 33/1.

Parrott scored 20 goals last season and helped AZ reach the Europa League last 16. His strong start this term has fuelled talk that he could be on the move next month.
