Leeds United are viewed as an attractive option for Harvey Elliott this summer, while goalkeeper Lucas Perri is closing in on Torino with a medical reportedly booked this weekend, according to Torino Granata.
Elliott is expected to leave Liverpool after last season’s loan at Aston Villa, where a clause limited his game time as Villa looked to avoid a permanent trigger. He has returned to Anfield, but his next step remains unclear.
"Yeah, I think the bad blood is certainly enough to get him away from Liverpool, and I think, I'm afraid, [RB] Leipzig are the favourites from what I've heard. I think that's where it will end up. There's a possibility he'll go to Leeds, but Leipzig are still the favourites, and I think if they can come to personal terms, that's what would make it happen. Leeds is going to become an attractive option for a player like Harvey, but I think it might be good for him personally to get out of England," he told Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast.
James Trafford’s arrival at Elland Road has opened the door for the Brazilian’s exit, with Perri, 28, described as joining on an initial loan that includes an option to buy. A quad issue that ruled him out of the final two friendlies on United’s USA tour had been a concern, but it has cleared, which should ease the medical.
Leeds confirmed Trafford’s signing from Manchester City last week. With two weeks until the Premier League begins, Daniel Farke’s squad continues to take shape.
