Leeds United are closing in on a second summer signing, with Tarik Muharemović due to arrive this morning to finalise a move to Elland Road.

According to yorkshireevenpost.co.uk, Leeds agreed a £34m fee in Italy on Tuesday evening and then moved to settle personal terms with the 23-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina World Cup player.

The left-sided centre-back has been earmarked as the replacement for Pascal Struijk, who joined Brighton earlier this summer.

Muharemović impressed during his time at Sassuolo, showing aerial strength, mobility and a presence at both ends of the pitch.

He is flying into Leeds Bradford Airport to undergo a medical and sign paperwork, in a transfer that will be the most expensive of the 49ers Enterprises ownership era.

The Whites have already added Harry Wilson on a free transfer from Fulham.
