Leeds United have emerged as a surprise contender to sign Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk, according to BBC Sport.
The Yorkshire club are actively exploring a loan move to bolster Daniel Farke’s attacking options for the upcoming season.
Mudryk, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023, is looking to secure regular minutes to reignite his career.
After a period disrupted by a doping ban resolution and fierce competition for places across Chelsea’s star-studded frontline, the Blues are open to a loan move that would allow the winger to regain match sharpness.
Mudryk’s blistering pace and unpredictable dribbling make him a strong fit for Leeds’ style, making the Ukrainian an attractive, high-upside target
Mudryk is one of several options under consideration, but the 25-year-old is reportedly open to a move to West Yorkshire in search of consistent game time to maintain his competitive edge and reclaim his place in the Ukraine national team.
However, Leeds face strong competition from domestic and European rivals, with several clubs closely monitoring Mudryk’s availability as the transfer window enters its final stages.
Any potential agreement would depend heavily on financial negotiations, particularly the proportion of Mudryk’s wages that Leeds would be willing to cover during the loan period.
Mudryk is not the only Chelsea player under consideration at Elland Road, with Leeds also among the contenders to sign Liam Delap, who is valued at around £50 million.
Leeds begin their Premier League campaign with a home clash against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, before the sides meet again three days later in the EFL Cup.
