Leeds United stance on Largie Ramazani as new signing to join US tour | OneFootball

Leeds United have flown to Florida to begin their US tour, with transfer work accelerating and new signing Tarik Muharemovic set to link up with the squad.

According to Leeds Live, talks with Manchester City over James Trafford are progressing positively, while discussions continue for Julian Brandt after his father visited Thorp Arch last week. Leeds are awaiting Brandt’s decision, with Shea Charles the subject of an improved final bid that will stay on the table throughout the window.

The squad arrived in Tampa, with Muharemovic due imminently after a post-World Cup break. Leeds face Wrexham this weekend before heading to New Jersey to train at the New York Red Bulls complex, then on to Chicago, and transfers will not be hindered by the tour with medicals possible in the US or back in Leeds.

Several Thorp Arch pitches are being relaid. Largie Ramazani and Joe Gelhardt were left in Yorkshire and are destined to leave. Unlike Max Wober’s mutually agreed exit, departures are set to be for fees, with no further contract terminations planned.

Jack Harrison is bound for MLS side New England Revolution for a small fee, while the exits of Ramazani and Gelhardt will aid Squad Cost Ratio management. Pavel Sulc of Lyon and goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen of Royal Union Saint-Gilloise have been noted but there is no active move, with Brandt prioritised. Leeds will not consider letting Lucas Perri go until a new goalkeeper, namely Trafford, is signed, and Torino are expected to move for Perri if that happens.
