Leeds United shot-stopper Lucas Perri’s loan move to Torino is considered imminent, although the Brazilian is currently recovering from ‘a minor finger injury’.

The 28-year-old opted for Torino ahead of several other Serie A sides, believing the Turin outfit will provide the ideal environment to rediscover his form.

The Italian outfit are finalising a season-long loan agreement with Leeds, with an option to buy set to be included.

Earlier suggestions indicated that Leeds’ official announcement of James Trafford’s arrival from Manchester City would only then pave the way for Perri’s departure to be announced.

The Peacocks have since officially unveiled Trafford as their third summer signing at Elland Road.

For the Perri deal, however, the parties are ‘still sorting out the final details’ before the agreement can be formally concluded.

The Brazilian is also recovering from ‘a minor finger injury’, leaving the official announcement on hold for the time being, according to Italian journalist Giacomo Morandin.

As a result, the transfer is expected to require a few more days before every outstanding detail is resolved and the move can be formally completed.

Perri will be eager to embark on a fresh chapter in Turin after slipping down the pecking order at Elland Road.

Meanwhile, Daniel Farke can begin integrating Trafford as his new first-choice goalkeeper, with the England international expected to be available from Monday as he starts life in Yorkshire.

The 23-year-old arrived at Elland Road in a club-record deal worth £40m plus bonuses, with Leeds having fended off competition from Newcastle United to secure his signature.

Largie Ramazani, another player firmly outside Farke’s plans, could also depart in the coming days, with Valencia potentially set to come calling once again as they look to reinforce their wide options.

Sebastiaan Bornauw could likewise head for the exit, with the centre-back on Hamburg’s radar for a potential move.

Provided everything proceeds as anticipated, Perri is expected to become the next player to officially depart Elland Road once he has recovered from his injury.
