Leeds United ‘to bid’ for Ruben Vargas as Kai Morall ‘set to sign’ | OneFootball

Leeds United are preparing for January additions as Daniel Farke’s side look to build on a three-game unbeaten run that featured a win over Chelsea and a draw with Liverpool.

Spanish media reports that Leeds are ready to offer around €20m for Sevilla winger Ruben Vargas, including an initial €9m with add-ons. Newcastle United are also interested and can offer Champions League football. The 58-cap Switzerland international has been linked ahead of the window opening.

Leeds’ attacking output has been questioned this season, and Vargas has produced seven goal contributions in 12 league games so far, which could appeal to Farke.

The Daily Mail reports that Leeds are set to sign 15-year-old forward Kai Morall from Liverpool after a mutual agreement, meaning no compensation is due.

Morall, a Republic of Ireland youth international who joined Liverpool at under-9 level, is understood to see a clearer pathway at Elland Road. He said in a social media post that it was time to say goodbye after eight years, thanked staff and coaches, and looked forward to a new chapter.
