Leeds United remain in the market for midfield reinforcements as talks over Southampton’s Shea Charles continue, while Pascal Struijk’s exit to Brighton is imminent. An announcement on free agent Harry Wilson is expected soon, with talks for Julian Brandt ongoing.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds are still negotiating with Southampton for Charles. The 23-year-old is liked for Daniel Farke’s 2026/27 plans, but a deal has proved difficult. Crystal Palace have been reported at the table, yet talks continue.

Talks with Brandt’s camp also remain active as his Borussia Dortmund contract expires this month. He has other suitors and could choose European football. Leeds are hopeful of persuading the Germany international to join their bid to consolidate top-flight status next season.

Leeds agreed a deal last week to bring Wilson to Elland Road. The Wales international scored 10 Premier League goals for Fulham last season and can play on the right or at number 10. He adds set-piece threat and experience, with an announcement expected in the coming days.

Supporters were told to expect departures by chairman Paraag Marathe in his customary summer sit down with local media, and Struijk’s switch is now close. The left-sided centre-half impressed last season and is difficult to replace given his two-footed passing and defending.

Juventus defender Lloyd Kelly has emerged as a possibility, although he is only one of several options admired and is not being actively pursued at present. Goalkeeper James Trafford is also liked, but there is no movement.
