The Toon teenagers took an early lead at the Thorp Arch training ground courtesy of Sam Alabi's strike before Callum Mills drew the Whites level on the hour mark.

Isaac Moran, introduced from the bench before the restart, quickly restored United's one-goal cushion with his first goal for the club since joining from Liverpool this summer, before defender Henry Johnson doubled the visitors' lead in the closing stages.

Newcastle, however, were unable to extend their 100 per cent winning start in all competitions as late strikes from Kenneth Mensah and Aiden Thompson saw the spoils shared in West Yorkshire.

Chris Moore's side are back in league action on Saturday, 13th September as they face an away clash against Liverpool at the Kirkby Academy (kick-off 1pm BST).
