Ethan Ampadu starts for Leeds United in their final home match of the season against Brighton & Hove Albion after illness. The captain lines up in midfield.
Leeds Live reports that he had been unwell this week but is fit to partner Ao Tanaka, who makes his eighth straight start and was named in Japan's World Cup squad.
Daniel Farke's defence is stretched, with Jayden Bogle and Gabriel Gudmundsson out and Pascal Struijk absent with a hip problem. Sebastiaan Bornauw joins Joe Rodon and Jaka Bijol in the back three.
Daniel James, who struggled at wing-back against Tottenham on Monday, starts there again, with James Justin on the left. Karl Darlow, out of contract this summer, is in goal.
Leeds stick with a three-four-two-one. Brenden Aaronson operates to the left behind Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has scored in back-to-back games for the first time since December and has three in his last four.
Calvert-Lewin will be hopeful of an England World Cup call, while Anton Stach fills the other number 10 role as he eyes Germany selection. Elland Road could bid farewell to Sam Byram, out of contract next month, and Joel Piroe, who is expected to be moved on.
With Noah Okafor sidelined by a calf setback, academy prospects Jayden Lienou, Alfie Cresswell and Rhys Chadwick are on the bench. Leeds starting XI is Darlow, Rodon, Bijol, Bornauw, James, Ampadu, Tanaka, Justin, Aaronson, Stach and Calvert-Lewin. The bench features Perri, Byram, Lienou, Cresswell, Longstaff, Chadwick, Gnonto, Piroe and Nmecha.
