Manager Daniel Farke will be without two players for the upcoming match, both of whom have been ruled out due to illness. Specifically, both Ethan Ampadu and Pascal Struijk missed training midweek and are now doubts for the match. Furthermore, wingers Noah Okafor and Willy Gnonto remain unavailable due to injury. Consequently, summer signing Jaka Bijol could make his debut in central defence if needed.

West Ham United

Nuno Espírito Santo faces several absences for the trip north. Strikers Niclas Füllkrug and George Earthy are both out injured. New manager Nuno Espírito Santo is still searching for his first win after two games in charge (D1 L1). Alarmingly, West Ham have been trailing in matches for 48% of their total game time this season. This is the second-highest percentage in the entire league. Moreover, they are winless in their last four visits to Elland Road.
