Leeds United have AZ Alkmaar forward Troy Parrott high on their list of striker targets ahead of the winter transfer window, according to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook.
Manager Daniel Farke is desperate to strengthen his attack at the club for the second half of the season.
Parrott has been in fine form in the Eredivisie this term, bagging 14 goals and two assists in 15 games across all competitions.
The 23-year-old notched five goals in two games during the international break, grabbing a hat-trick against Hungary to help the Republic of Ireland claim a place in the World Cup play-offs.
A return to the Premier League could appeal to the former Tottenham Hotspur striker.
Parrott ended last term with 20 goals and five assists in 47 games, having notched 17 goals and five assists in 32 games in 2023-24.
Whether he can replicate that form in the English top-flight remains to be seen, but his performances during the international break speak volumes.
A brace against a star-studded Portugal side shows his quality. However, the Whites will face competition from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Wolves were not keen on paying £20 million for Parrott last summer, but will look to pip Leeds and others to him for that fee.
Leeds have scored just 11 goals in 12 league games this season and will need to improve if they want to retain their Premier League status at the end of the campaign.
Signing the AZ striker could make all the difference in the second half of the season, but they also need to strengthen in other departments after conceding 22 goals.
