Leeds United Women to face Doncaster Rovers Belles in Julie Chipchase Trophy | OneFootball

Leeds United Women will welcome Yorkshire opponents Doncaster Rovers Belles to the Bannister Prentice Stadium in July, as the sides once more contest the Julie Chipchase Trophy.

The pre-season friendly fixture celebrates the life of a true pioneer of women’s football who proudly represented both clubs, with the Whites lifting the trophy last year after a 3-1 win at the Eco-Power Stadium.

This time, proceeds will be donated to help one of our own who is currently bravely undergoing treatment for cancer.

Ella Lynch, aged nine, is a member of the Leeds United Girls’ Shadow Squad and has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of liver cancer, with her family aiming to raise money to help her make special memories.

At the match, Ella will also proudly lead the teams out as a mascot before the sides then do battle on the pitch.
