Leeds United’s summer 2025 intake has been graded, with two A+ marks and one 'disappointing' D after a 14th-placed Premier League finish. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, attacking recruits are likely to top a busy window.
Daniel Farke added 10 last summer, most now regulars though some struggled. Grades reflect season-long impact and fee.
Goalkeeper Lucas Perri, £15.6m, received a D. The anticipated match-winning saves did not arrive, distribution was an issue and he was dropped in January after two errors. He is currently back-up to Karl Darlow.
James Justin, £10m, earned a B. After a quiet start he began 2026 by starting every Premier League match in multiple roles, impressing throughout. He fell just short of an A due to those early months.
Jaka Bijol, £15m, was graded A after making his first league appearance in late October and thriving once Leeds switched to a back three. He dominated centrally and used the ball well, with Farke lauding his leadership.
Sebastiaan Bornauw, £5m, took a C for competent cover, with Leeds unbeaten in his five league starts, the fewest of any summer 2025 arrival. Gabriel Gudmundsson, £10m, got an A for addressing left-back, settling quickest of the foreign arrivals and logging the most minutes, albeit without a goal or assist.
Midfielder Anton Stach, £17m, topped the list with A+, contributing five goals and three assists and marrying physical presence with quality on the ball. Recruitment chiefs now need to repeat last summer’s hit-rate, with attacking quality likely to lead the brief.
