James Trafford has been impressed with Leeds United’s relentless desire to improve and believes the club are moving in the right direction.
The goalkeeper arrived at Elland Road from fellow Premier League side Manchester City for a club record transfer fee, and put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the Whites.
The 23-year-old joined Manchester City just last summer, but was demoted to the bench after the club brought in Gianluigi Donnarumma from Paris Saint-Germain.
Trafford is excited to start the new season with Leeds, and determined to give his best, while aiming to achieve success with the club.
The England goalkeeper believes Leeds are the best move for him regarding his career growth and he has been impressed with the desire to improve and get better in all aspects.

Trafford said on BBC Radio Leeds: “I’m obviously really excited to be here and working towards the season and I’m excited to give the season a really good go, and achieve everything that we want to achieve.
“It’s the best move for me at this stage of my career and for all my dreams that I want to achieve.
“This puts me in the best stead to achieve those dreams and I can’t wait.
“We can achieve anything we want to achieve.

“From the week I’ve had so far, we’re always trying to get better and we’re always trying to improve.
“When you think about that you’re always going one way and that’s upwards. It’s a really exciting time.”
Leeds United were looking in the transfer market to get a new goalkeeper, especially after the departures of Illan Meslier to Arsenal and Karl Darlow to Manchester United.
The Whites are now closing in on signing Nico Elvedi from Borussia Monchengladbach, and he would be the fourth signing for the club behind Harry Wilson, Tarik Muharemovic and Trafford.
With the summer transfer window in full swing, Leeds United are still looking to do more business, and have shown interest in Marseille star Igor Paixao, though chances of landing him this window look slim given the asking price.
Who else Leeds might turn to in order to strengthen the final third remains to be seen, but they will be looking forward to seeing Trafford keep the door shut at the other end.
