Leeds United will face Chelsea at Wembley later this month, with their first FA Cup semi-final in 39 years set for the Sunday slot.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the tie will be played on Sunday 26 April at three pm and shown live on TNT. Manchester City meet Southampton a day earlier on BBC, so the finalists will be known before kick-off.
It is thought the Premier League programme and the number of fanbases in and around the capital on the Saturday played some part in allocating the Sunday slot. A travelling support of 30,000-plus Leeds fans will now coincide with the 2026 London Marathon.
Leeds' Premier League trip to Bournemouth has already been moved from Saturday 25 April at three pm to Wednesday 22 April. Chelsea also play in midweek before the semi-final, away to Brighton on the Tuesday.
Leeds reached the last four the hard way. They cruised past Derby County away, then needed penalties to see off Championship side Birmingham City. Norwich City were dispatched at Elland Road.
Premier League opposition finally arrived in West Ham. The quarter-final looked done when the Whites led 2-0, only for West Ham to score twice in 11 minutes of added time. A shootout followed, Lucas Perri saving two before Pascal Struijk converted the decisive kick.
It will be their first Wembley outing since the 2024 play-off final defeat by Southampton. Leeds have lifted the FA Cup once, in 1972.
