Leeds have climbed the Premier League with two wins and two draws from the last four, yet a rival threat looms. West Ham, 18th on 13 points, could strengthen quickly as Leeds sit 16th with 19 points and a game in hand.
The Mirror reports West Ham have made Jorgen Strand Larsen a winter priority. talkSPORT claims Wolves are weighing up Nashville striker Sam Surridge as a possible replacement, Surridge scored 31 in 40 last term. The Telegraph adds Crystal Palace also want Larsen.
Larsen hit 14 goals in 35 Premier League appearances last season for Wolves, and the No 9 was the subject of a £55m Newcastle bid in the summer.
Leeds could yet look to Wolves for a goalkeeper solution. TEAMtalk said in April that Leeds were keen on Sam Johnstone as Daniel Farke looked to replace Illan Meslier, but a £16m move for Lucas Perri was finalised instead.
With Meslier and Karl Darlow set to leave as free agents at the end of the season, Leeds could try again if Wolves are relegated. Johnstone is behind Jose Sa at Molineux and a switch would bring him closer to his hometown of Preston.
