Leicester City face a wait on Conor Chaplin after he was forced off in Saturday's draw at MK Dons, with Russell Martin saying the injury will be assessed in the coming days, according to LeicesterMercury.co.uk.

The forward missed the first three games of the season with a small pre-season knock. He returned to make his debut against Ipswich Town in midweek, then started his first league match of the campaign at Stadium MK.

Chaplin initially went down after a challenge by Ben Wiles and tried to continue. He was withdrawn after 36 minutes, with Admir Bristric coming on.

After the match, Martin said, "We'll have to see and assess it." He indicated Chaplin did not feel it was too bad, though he noted that if the player could not continue it was unlikely to be a really small issue.

Chaplin could join Caleb Okoli in missing Tuesday night’s game against Plymouth Argyle. Okoli has sat out the last two matches with an unspecified injury and has also been linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium.

Bade Aluko, a doubt after coming off at Ipswich on Tuesday, was included at Stadium MK and remained an unused substitute.
