Leicester City have confirmed Bilal El Khannouss has completed a permanent move to VfB Stuttgart. The Morocco playmaker is currently at the World Cup.

The club said in a statement that the 22-year-old has joined the Bundesliga side for an undisclosed fee, having spent 2025/26 on loan there after arriving from Genk in summer 2024.

Stuttgart announced in late May that the obligation to buy in his loan had been met. Leicester have now formalised the exit following the turn of the financial year.

El Khannouss made 41 appearances for Stuttgart last season, scoring nine with seven assists. He previously featured 39 times for Leicester in all competitions, scoring three.

No transfer figure has been released.

He is the first confirmed deal of the summer as City begin a major rebuild. New manager Russell Martin has started shaping his squad for 2026/27, with business expected to quicken in the coming weeks.
