Leicester City have confirmed Harry Winks has joined Serie A club Cagliari for an undisclosed fee on a two-year deal, ending three years at the King Power Stadium.
The club said in a statement that the midfielder has moved in a permanent transfer, subject to international clearance. It added he made 109 appearances after signing from Tottenham Hotspur in July 2023 and featured 45 times in the 2023/24 Championship title campaign.
During his Leicester spell he scored five and provided five assists. He was pictured arriving for a medical on Monday, then later alongside fellow new signing Jacopo Fazzini at an airport.
He was a regular in the Premier League under Steve Cooper, then Ruud van Nistelrooy. He later fell out with the Dutchman after refusing to occasionally stay at the Seagrave training base amid his commute from London.
Winks trained with Russell Martin’s group during the first two weeks of pre-season but did not feature in the friendly wins over Northampton Town and Bristol Rovers.
