Italian Serie A club Sassuolo have made an enquiry for Leicester City defender Caleb Okoli, who has admirers among Championship sides.
The 25-year-old arrived at the King Power in 2024, while the Foxes were still competing in the Premier League.
Okoli spoke openly about his long-term potential and the work required to fulfil it back then.
The Italian has since endured successive relegations with Leicester, who are now bracing for a campaign in League One.
Okoli amassed 2,335 minutes across 29 Championship appearances last season, but could not prevent Leicester from slipping out of the division.

The centre-back still has three years to run on his King Power contract, but could be moved on this summer amid the growing attention surrounding him.
According to Italian journalist Orazio Accomando, Sassuolo have made an enquiry for Okoli as they explore the possibility of taking him back to Serie A.
A return to the Championship remains another avenue for the defender, with clubs from the division also continuing to monitor his situation.
Alongside Sassuolo, fellow Italian sides are also tracking the defender’s situation, with Torino having made an enquiry back in April, although nothing advanced from there.

Leicester have placed a valuation of around €8m on the Italian, leaving it to be seen whether Sassuolo are willing to match that figure.
Okoli has already established himself in Italian football before his switch to the Foxes and could now be presented with the opportunity to return to his homeland, although another spell in the Championship could also materialise.
