Leicester City will lose Patson Daka to the Africa Cup of Nations but could welcome Jeremy Monga and Aaron Ramsey back for QPR, with six players missing.

LeicesterMercury.co.uk reports Daka has played his last game before AFCON and will join Zambia ahead of Monday’s opener against Mali. The trip to Loftus Road also pits boss Cifuentes against his former side.

Monga has missed three matches with a slight muscle issue, playing only 10 minutes across nine fixtures. He is due back in training this week and hopes to build enough fitness to travel.

Ramsey has been out for nine matches after a hamstring problem in the late October loss to Millwall. Initially feared he might not feature again this year, he returned to full training last week and could rejoin the squad on Saturday.

Before injury, he had perhaps been City’s standout, scoring twice in the draw with Portsmouth and the defeat to Hull. Regaining his place may be difficult with Bobby De Cordova-Reid on a run of three straight goals.

Centre-back Harry Souttar has trained in recent weeks after a long Achilles injury and may be edging closer, but there is no suggestion he will play this weekend.

Daka and Souttar are among six absentees. Boubakary Soumare, Caleb Okoli and Victor Kristiansen have knee injuries and will miss Saturday, while Harry Winks has been omitted for three straight games for a technical decision.
