They still visit Sheffield Wednesday, Portsmouth and Blackburn, each with home records among the bottom four. The sternest tests look to be home dates with Hull and Millwall, both in the promotion race and ranked in the top four away.

Results are not settled on paper, and while Portsmouth and Blackburn have struggled at home, the pressure of six-pointers could skew form.

One relegation rival is close behind, with West Brom’s opposition averaging 1.22 points per game. Among the five clubs trying to avoid the final two spots, Blackburn face the toughest schedule at 1.45 on average, though six teams elsewhere have it harder overall.

Portsmouth’s remaining foes average 1.41 and Oxford’s 1.31. Leicester’s run-in reads Preston, Sheffield Wednesday, Swansea, Portsmouth, Hull, Millwall and Blackburn.
