Leicester City ‘put up for sale’ as owners seek over €230m | OneFootball

BBC Sport reports that Leicester City have been put up for sale, with the club’s Thai owners seeking more than €230m.

King Power have run the club for 16 years, and the report says a major US bank has prepared an eight-page sales brochure at the club’s request.

The Srivaddhanaprabha family bought the club in 2010 for a little over €40m. Their tenure peaked with the 2016 Premier League title, achieved two years after promotion.

Leicester also won the FA Cup in 2021, then the decline set in. Financial problems mounted. The club were docked 6 points last season for breaching financial sustainability rules and endured two successive relegations.

Now in League One, the third tier, the Foxes are about to begin their season.
