Leicester City sign Ipswich winger Wes Burns on three-year deal for undisclosed fee | OneFootball

Leicester City have signed winger Wes Burns from Premier League side Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal. The Wales international is 31.

Burns moved to Ipswich in the summer of 2021 and, in his second season, helped them win promotion to the Championship, making 50 appearances in all competitions.

He then played 35 league games and scored six goals as Town sealed a historic second successive promotion to the Premier League.

The winger made 18 top-flight appearances but suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury against Liverpool in January 2025.

After 11 months out, he returned to score in a 2-0 win at Coventry in December on the club's route to sealing a return to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

He becomes Leicester's sixth signing of the summer and joins Sunderland loanee Tommy Watson and Wales team-mate Liam Cullen at the King Power under new manager Russell Martin.

"Having spoken to the manager and various people I know here, there's a massive ambition to get the club back to where it once was, so I'm excited about the project."
