Leicester City will round off pre-season with a home friendly against Serie A side Genoa on Saturday 1 August at 3pm. According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, the match falls seven days before a Carabao Cup first round tie with Northampton Town.
Russell Martin’s side begin by hosting Northampton next Saturday at their Seagrave training complex, 12pm, before two away outings. They visit Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium on Tuesday 14 July, 7pm, in a game of two 60-minute halves, then travel to Burton Albion on Saturday 18 July for a 1pm kick-off.
After Burton, Leicester head to Cadiz for a warm-weather camp and two fixtures at the Estadio Nuevo Mirador, home of third-tier Algeciras FC. They face Cadiz, from Spain’s second division, on Wednesday 22 July, then La Liga newcomers Malaga on Saturday 25 July. Both kick-offs are 6pm BST, 7pm local time.
The schedule concludes at the King Power Stadium against Genoa, who are managed by former midfielder Daniele De Rossi. That fixture completes six friendlies across the summer.
Attention then turns to the Carabao Cup first round before Leicester kick off their League One campaign at Notts County on 14 August at 12.30pm.
