Allan Saint-Maximin will miss RC Lens’ visit to face Olympique Lyonnais in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France on Thursday night.

The former Newcastle United and OGC Nice winger sustained a minor calf injury during the final stages of Friday’s 1-1 draw against RC Strasbourg Alsace. He will be a big miss for Lens, but he isn’t the only one. There was some hope that Samson Baidoo could be fit to return to face Lyon, but ultimately that has not proven to be the case.

And it is in his position that Les Sang et Or are short of numbers. Kyllian Antonio remains sidelined, as do Jonathan Gradit and Ruben Aguilar. Pierre Sage’s defensive line will therefore look the same as it has in recent weeks.
