Léo Jabá hit with second doping ban, sidelined for São Bernardo’s Série B run-in | OneFootball

Léo Jabá has been suspended for doping for a second time, ruling him out of São Bernardo’s Série B run-in.

According to Meu Timao, the 28-year-old was handed a four-year ban in March 2025 after testing positive for norandrosterone and noretiocolanolone following São Bernardo’s match against Corinthians in the Campeonato Paulista.

He later won an appeal and returned to action for São Bernardo in August this year. Since then he has played six times, most recently on 10 September in defeat to Londrina.

The Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva Antidopagem appealed that ruling and its request was upheld. His suspension has been reinstated and is now valid until 16 March 2029.

Born in 1998, Léo Jabá progressed through all of Corinthians’ youth teams before promotion to the senior side in 2016. He made 20 appearances and scored one goal.

He was part of the squad for the successful Paulista campaign in 2017 and for the Brazilian campaign that year, but had left before the national title was secured. After departing Parque São Jorge he played for Akhmat Grozny, PAOK, Vasco and Estrela Amadora, as well as São Bernardo.
