With the new Ligue 1 season hours away on Friday, 58,932 readers cast predictions. According to L'Équipe, Esteban Lepaul has been backed to finish top scorer, while Florian Thauvin is tipped as the leading provider.

A Rennes player, not a Parisian, led the vote. Lepaul received 17,860 votes, 30.31%, after being last season’s leading scorer with 21 goals. The "Autre joueur" option was next on 9,618, 16.32%.

Loïs Openda, representing OL, placed third with 8,731 votes, 14.82%. Ousmane Dembélé collected 7,229 for fourth, ahead of PSG recruit Ferran Torres on 5,982.

Thauvin also featured in the scoring list, sixth with 1,432, 2.43%, but he topped the providers’ poll with 11,904 votes, 20.20%. Désiré Doué polled 9,187, 15.59%, just ahead of his PSG team-mate Vitinha on 7,420, 12.59%.

The "Autre joueur" option drew 6,517 votes in that category, with Ousmane Dembélé fifth. New PSG signings Maghnes Akliouche and Mika Godts ranked sixth and ninth respectively, while last season’s leading provider Adrien Thomasson was only seventh.
