“Let’s see…” – Champions League winner weighs in on Liam Rosenior’s early impact at Chelsea

Roberto Di Matteo has had some nice things to say about Liam Rosenior after the new manager’s first run of game in charge of Chelsea.
Chelsea’s results under new manager Liam Rosenior have been good, and according to former coach Roberto Di Matteo, there are more positives than just the wins.
“I like his ideas about football. He wants the team to dominate the ball, control the tempo, and be proactive rather than reactive. Chelsea fans will appreciate that if he can get the players fully on board and results start following,” Di Matteo said on Sky Sports News today.
“It’s a big job, massive pressure at Chelsea, but he seems composed and has a clear vision. Let’s see how it develops over the coming weeks and months.”
The results are good and the players seem enthused. Fans are reacting well. It’s gone about as well as it could have.

It’s still early days for Rosenior – this is only his first free midweek since he took over.
But the fact he’s had to little training time makes the changes we’ve seen in the team all the more impressive. The higher tempo and increased attacking intent has won the fans over, which in turns brings more support, which gives the players more confidence.
We’re going to find out a lot in the tougher game to follow tomorrow’s match against Burnley.
It’s been a quiet week at Chelsea, but there was a significant moment today when Romeo Lavia returned to competitive action, with some significant faces in the crowd watching….
