Levante’s frantic window ended in frustration as Sergio Akieme’s proposed move collapsed when the registration documents failed to reach LaLiga headquarters before the deadline, AS reports.
The club made 11 additions across the window to bolster Luís Castro’s squad but could not add one more at the cut-off.

Akieme, the Stade de Reims left-back, had been close to finalising the deal that would have completed the group.
Levante will now navigate the first half of the campaign with Manu Sánchez and Marc Santos covering the left flank.
The former Almería defender will continue in France, at least until January.
