The young Cameroonian striker Karl Etta Eyong has quickly emerged as one of the standout talents in this La Liga season, attracting interest from several top European clubs, including FC Barcelona.
Etta Eyong has already contributed six goals and three assists in 12 league appearances this season. Five of these goals and one assist came after his move to Levante, the club he joined late in the previous summer transfer window from Villarreal for a reported fee of €3.8 million.
His performances on the pitch have significantly increased his market value in recent weeks. According to Mundo Deportivo, Levante recently rejected an offer of €30 million from Russian side CSKA Moscow.
The striker’s release clause stands at €30 million for Spanish clubs and €40 million for international transfers. Levante’s CEO and main shareholder, Jose Danvila, confirmed that despite growing interest from abroad, the club has no plans to let the player leave in the upcoming winter window, as their priority remains maintaining their La Liga status.
Etta Eyong is reportedly a key target for Barcelona as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski, whose contract ends this season. Other major European clubs, including Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal, are also monitoring the promising forward’s progress.
