Levante UD avoid sanction over bottle thrown at Eray Cömert | OneFootball

According to Superdeporte, the Disciplinary Committee confirmed matchday 24 sanctions, yet Levante UD received no punishment after a bottle struck Valencia CF defender Eray Cömert.

The ruling lists bans for Vicente Iborra, three matches, and Kervin Arriaga, two, along with yellow cards, but nothing against the club.

After the match, Cömert celebrated the win by taking a corner flag from the Ciutat, placing his shirt on it and waving it before the visiting stand with Valencia fans. The display angered Levante supporters and players.

An initial scuffle broke out, then objects were thrown towards the Swiss defender. He was struck twice just before the tunnel, one blow a bottle to the chest.

Despite the seriousness of the incident, the committee’s resolution imposes no action on the Orriols club and does not reference the player’s celebration.
