Adli to Wolves? Leverkusen Exodus Continues Amid Transfer Uncertainty

Wolves Circle as Adli Eyes Premier League Move

Bayer Leverkusen’s summer overhaul shows no sign of slowing, with Moroccan international Amine Adli reportedly next to depart. According to BILD, “Adli has asked his bosses in Leverkusen to hold talks. The English team have already made their first contact. Their ideas are still divided. Leverkusen expects a transfer fee of up to 30 million euros, including all bonuses.”

Adli, 25, who signed from Toulouse for €7.5 million in 2021, had flashes of brilliance but was often overshadowed by the elite talent of Florian Wirtz. The German prodigy’s €140 million switch to Liverpool this summer underlined the scale of talent emerging from Leverkusen. Yet Adli, despite his versatility and attacking instincts, “was never a key player.”

Leverkusen’s Contract Stance Suggests Openness

Despite extending Adli’s contract to 2028 just last November, Leverkusen are realistic. “Leverkusen wouldn’t prevent a transfer if the price was right,” BILD confirmed. His subdued performances at the Rio de Janeiro training camp point to a player unsure of his standing and future.

High-Profile Departures Signal Major Transition

Adli’s possible exit would follow Jonathan Tah’s move to Bayern Munich and Jeremie Frimpong’s switch to Liverpool. With Lukas Hradecky pushing for Monaco and Granit Xhaka eyeing Sunderland, the reshaping at Leverkusen appears total.

Wolves Could Offer Platform and Playing Time

For Wolverhampton Wanderers, this could be a smart move. Adli’s Premier League ambition is clear and Wolves may offer the consistency and freedom he lacked in Germany.

Our View – EPL Index Analysis

As an excited Wolves supporter, this rumour is more than intriguing, it feels like a signal of ambition. Amine Adli might not have broken through as a star in Leverkusen’s stacked attack, but that only enhances his hunger. He’s quick, technical and intelligent in possession. What he needs now is a club that values his contributions from day one.

A move to Molineux would give him just that. We’re crying out for more direct attacking options who can unlock defences and bring energy to transitional play. Adli, still only 25, fits that brief and his ceiling remains high.

There’s risk, of course. “At the training camp in Rio de Janeiro, he seemed inhibited and withdrawn” isn’t the most comforting quote, and the Premier League is rarely forgiving. But given Leverkusen “wouldn’t prevent a transfer if the price was right,” and the deal is rumoured to be around €30 million, this feels like a smart bit of business for a club looking to punch above its weight again.

The departures of Wirtz and Frimpong show how good this Leverkusen side was. If Wolves can land even one of their peripheral stars and get the best out of him, it could be transformative.
