The 20-year-old joined the club for £2.8 million from Vojvodina at the start of last season, and made a big impact in his debut campaign with the Lions with 12 goals in 37 league outings last season.

The Serbian has been subject to interest from across the continent this summer, with Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio linking the forward to Serie A side Parma recently.

Wolves submit transfer enquiry for Millwall striker Mihailo Ivanovic

TEAMtalk's Darren Witcoop reports that Wolves have made enquiries about Ivanovic as they look to add further attacking depth following the departure of Matheus Cunha.

Pablo Sarabia has also left the club, while striker Fabio Silva continues to be linked with a move away.

TEAMtalk reports that Millwall are confident of keeping Ivanovic, however, and have placed a £15m price tag on his head in an effort to keep suitors away from the forward, with Wolves understood to now be fearing they will be priced out of a deal.

Millwall's valuation is based on fellow Championship clubs' history of selling to Premier League clubs, reports Witcoop.

Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers is a recent example, with the Englishman moving from Middlesbrough in a deal worth up to £16 million in January 2024.

Millwall must hold firm on Ivanovic's asking price

Ivanovic turned out to be a superb signing for Millwall last year, immediately settling into life in the Championship quite impressively despite having spent the majority of his career in Serbian football aside from a brief few months with Italian side Sampdoria in 22/23.

He bagged 12 goals from 37 second-tier games, and is still only 20 years of age, so he clearly has massive potential to keep improving into a top centre-forward of the future.

A fee of around £15m would be quite sizeable, and a big profit on the fee paid to sign him last summer, which was understood to have been just short of £3m.

The young Serbian striker picked up Millwall's Young Player of the Season alongside a Goal of the Season award for his strike against Luton Town.

Millwall must hold firm in their asking price on Ivanovic, as they have no immediate need to cash in on the forward, who could be worth a lot more in just another 12 months if he has another good season in the Championship.

However, if they do lose him this summer, they have at least secured the services of Josh Coburn on a permanent deal, meaning there would be cover for Ivanovic whilst the club would inevitably be searching for his replacement before the end of the window.
